I have finally finished the trees and bushes for my church scene, using
Gilles' MakeTree macro. I'm not wholly satisfied with them, but I have
to accept, that this is as good as I'm gonna get them, if I ever want
the scene finished.
Now all the scene needs is a few cars. I don't want to make them myself,
but I haven't been able to find any suitable on the Net. Anybody got
models of common small european style cars in pov 3.1 format, they want
to share?

The model is beautiful. Maybe it needs some imperfections to make it more
realistic. Perhaps some haze? focal blur?
Congratulations,
Fernando.

It would also help if there were some slight differences in the color of
the various buildings, to make it look a little less uniform and clean.

It's a beautiful setting. I wish I had your patience for the detail in
this scene. I know I could do it but can never seem to find the time
or motivation to follow through.

Accurate cars in native .pov format are extremely difficult to model. Almost
every car I have seen was modelled in some other program and brought into
POV-Ray as a mesh. Your best bet for free cars is probably 3DCafe -

As usual excellent architectural work from you. I have a problem with the
falling verticals, though. Surely a case for my FieldCam macro here? Just a
suggestion.

BTW Looks like a quiet Sunday morning in winter to me.

Hi Ib.
Very good modelling here.
If you are looking for cars, go here:
http://www.digitalstockresources.com/htm/homeset1.htm
Then click in "ground transport", and then "cars".
All the cars (22) are in 3ds, dfx, obj, mtl format.
You can convert them form obj to pov with poseray

Hope this helps.

That's a lovely scene Ib. "Patience is a virtue" they say, and it's
paying off in this scene.

I think it could do pretty well without added imperfections. At least at
this distance. The one thing to fix IMHO is the sky. Some media clouds
or a different sky_sphere, or why not just a grey overcast sky.
The rest of the scene is modelled very well. I really like the trees!

Well I kind of like that unrealistic perfection. Besides, I don't think
you would get any noticeable focal blur, if you took a photo at that
distance with a wide angle lens. In fact I know yuo don't, because I
have taken several photos like that of the church.
