I think this is the best I can do given the low quality of the images I
have been able to find.

Source in p.b.scene-files if anybody would like to improve on it.

Very good. The images on the net need gamma correcting (well I think
so), and the sky is then much better. I guess the building is
symetrical front/back and this would make a scene easier.

I'm _still_ working on a Petra Monastery, in Jordan, that I started
last year. I have too many other projects under construction in Pov to
afford the time (there's never enough time) to try these towers :/

Not quite, the windows on the cylinder part are placed differently on
the two sides (if there are sides on a cylinder :).

I just saw that on Discovery. I'm looking forward to see your model.

Improve on the model certainly not, but a little background, foreground and
radiosity do help...
Other credits : Xfrog trees, Rhino bike, free Peugeot from the Internet,
Vicky from DAZ, Terragen sky.

Beautiful! In fact, it looks like a much nicer place than the real place
in Birmingham, where there's just a boring parking lot in front of the
tower.

Once again, a fantastic model!

Excellent.

I'm looking for a clue that says "computer image", but its not easy.
Maybe the tower is too clean? ;)

I didn't see the Peugeot at first. I'm not an artist. I think I would
have spoilt any scene of mine by wanting to make it more prominent.

A very clear clue would be that the twigs in the tree are too straight?

In fact this image was like Frankenstein, all made of parts taken directly
in the directories of other images... All I had to do was to add the
#include statements in Ib's script and point at the directories. Sort of
painting-by-numbers POV-Ray. Of course if I had to count all the time spent
on working on each element...

The tree is a Japanese maple with sweet birch leaves... The sweet birch is
included in the Basic library provided with Xfrog, and the maple is in the
current 3.5 distribution.
