The first image shows a distribution of, well, rays on a
hemisphere without any adjustment of probability. The
density is higher near the normal.

The second modifies the probability by cos(theta), where
theta is the deviation from the normal. The difference of
densities is even higher.

The third modifies the probability by sin(theta). To me
this looks right.
