Head modelled with Wings 3d
Texture on left is an image map from www.animax.it
Texture on right is procedural

vey vey nise!

melikes.

the proc. texture with a bit o' work could be better than the image
mapped one; it's already quite good.

thanks

Yes, what I posted was an evening's worth of tweaking, then I got pooped
out. Will see if I can push it further after a rest. Plan to do s'more
of these things, try and ramp up my mesh modelling and texturing skills
a bit.

Great texture and a great "ancient art".
I still do use Wings only to tweak some imported meshes a little,
so I guess I should also learn how to use it as a modeller.

I have been unable to import into Wings. Is there a trick somehow?

Hmm, not that I'm aware of. I do export/import meshes usually in the
LWO format and it does work fine. The only problem: Wings does not
handle huge meshes and tends to freeze sometimes. With *huge* I do
mean something like the Vicky poser model with more than 100.000
triangles, but. maybe this size does depend on the installed system ram.
