This has been an ongoing work in progress for about the last month.
Mostly a test of bi-cubic patches and textures it has turned out pretty
well. It is only one element of a pending scene that will have a few
more ingredients.

In reference to a previous question regarding the hull texture, it is an
image map that I ran across while looking at some texture sites
referenced on the POV website. My original intent was to have the hull
be a mirrored chrome surface that would reflect the stars. I tried
this, and while it looked very nice, it was a bit confusing to actually
make out the subtle lines of the ship and was understandably dark..

The hull itself consists of 3 main parts, the hull, the wing and the
dorsal fine, all bezer patches made in Moray. The engine pods and the
cockpit contain most of the detail work. The cockpit has chairs, and in
it's latest incarnation (not pictured here) even some control surfaces
and yellow mirrored tint to the glass. Getting the glass not to distort
the interior and fit the cockpit frame has been a bit of challenge.

I am pretty much done with this specific object and hope to have the
remainder of the scene finished in about two weeks or so. Will post it
when I am done. I still consider this a rather basic 'beginner' scene.
Still have a lot to learn.

Any comments always welcome. I have only been using POV / Moray for
about a year so far and have spent most of that time learning the syntax
of POV and the concepts that it is built around. Gotta admit, this
stuff is really addictive. Still using POVRay 3.1. Will stick with it
for a while longer before stepping up to 3.5, since I am using these
applications on slower Pentium machines.
