Still to do: articulate the columns and arches, fill in the ceiling
somehow, and maybe put in a brick wall (pierced by windows).
(Then I mean to taper the whole thing, which will mean throwing away
most of the work.)
I am far from sure what shape the ceiling ought to have (if not a simple
helicoid). Perhaps I'll make the core hollow, with another arcade to
match the outside; then the ceiling will be groin vaults.
The angle of each `bay' is half a radian. My little joke.
