The material looks too dry, some specular finish or blurred reflection
would be good.

Nice :) I prefer the dark image.. Looks great on my screen..
I saw that you changed the position of the fingers from your previous image.
I'm trying to model a hand myself, and I'd like to know how you did it, if
you'd like to share it, because yours look really nice! Dave Bates asked the
same question at your previous post, but you didn't share the answer with
the rest of us :-)

Well, I have to admit, its only a Poser4 Prop.
I am waiting on a version which I can use freely,
because that Poser4 isn't mine...

Yeah. I wanted a version with pure subsurface for a beginning,
and this already took 4.5 hours on 1.4 GHZ Athlon.

I like much more the skin color on this one, it's more natural. The first
one uses a too redish tone, IMHO.

looks much better than the last one, i think if you add some fine details
(eg fingernails) and perhaps a teeeeny touch of specular it will be perfect.

I'm using a small program called Pose2Pov which takes
an OBJ-File (which may be exported from Poser4) and
creates some include-files for POV-Ray along with
a standard scene to trace the model.
Its probably floating around the net somewhere...
