This is a title graphic I made for an article recently.

Nothing much really, but since I almost never have posted any pictures
here, I thought that I should try and see what happens.

Even though this one has gone to the printers already, comments are
still welcome.

The cups are Lathes made in Adobe Illustrator and converted to Pov. The
ruler is a Prism, also done in Illustrator. The texture on the ruler is
an image map.

Tweaked and cropped in Photoshop, and the text "av Tom Stone" ( = "by
Tom Stone") was added.

I've decreased the size here, as the original render was 2200 pixels
wide.

A very good, simple image. I see no flaws. Nice lighting especially; the
wood texture could use some work, perhaps.

I would like to know how to convert illustrator vector graphics to pov, this
sounds very helpful.

Yes, there's a lot that could have been done better. Deadlines, you know...
Thanks for the kind words.

The converter can be found here:

It is a Hypercard stack, which means that you need a Mac to run it. However,
the hypercard script is on the same page, so I guess that a programmer would be
able to extrapolate the necessary information from that script and make a
similar converter for PC's.

I like it very much. However, I think that the blue ball's color is a bit
TOO intense.

What do you think?

Fernando.

I think that you are right, Fernando. I didn't catch that.
Hopefully, it will look better in grayscale on paper. I'll get it from the
printer at the end of this week.

Looks like Delphi would be good here.
