So, this is the recent version of the Gerbera I'm modelling. There
are some minor issues I'm still looking over, but I guess this
is pretty much the final version. I'm not into modelling that
much (yet), and organic modelling is something very
complicated to do with pure POV. But I think when
just looking at it, it does look like a gerbera...
So, comments, suggestions?

Very nice, but I wonder - have you used golden ration to build your plant ?
Have you know this method ? Or do you use just random generator ?

I know of the Golden Ratio, but it wasn't used.
Where did you get that idea from?

Becouse a few days before your first gerbera try I have posted link here to
page about golden ratio in nature.

Cool link! I've always been fascinated by the golden ratio

Looking great. have you modeled any of the green part behind the flower yet?
Regarding this and your grass mesh. It might be useful to include 3 or more
resolutions of each object in your vegetate.inc so that speed can be
improved for distant objects. Just a thought.

Yup, I'll render at "behind the scenes view" ;-) and post as
follow-up.

Ah, yes, the vegetation package. Well, the grass is of yet just a macro
to create a few patches, Level of Detail is something I have yet implement,
but its not difficult (detail settings are already set, just the macros for
LOD and object-placing aren't done yet). And the Gerbera is just
an "extra" for another, different project. But there will be similiar
flowers, and they'll have LOD.
