No, obviously you misunderstood me... I didn't mean radiosity recursing,
but
the nesting of the cubes! I just can't understand why any deeper nesting

than 4 levels should be too deep and produce an error message...
strangely
enough, in an earlier stage of my scene it worked perfectly even with 6
levels (i. e. cubes around cubes around cubes around cubes around cubes
around cubes around one big cube).

Meanwhile, I thought about separating the texture from the cube
definition,
instead using in fact a union with a general texture at the end...
...no difference! :-(((
No texture at all... still no difference! I can't help, I have to post
the
code in p.b.s-f....
