This is my first try with atmosspheric media.
image took 41 minutes to render with 1ghz celeron.
I am trying to simulate snowing with media.
Please give me some suggestions how to improve effect
and speed it up too. While I was delevoping media snowing stopped
outside so I couldn't look for any more hints from real snowing.
Please give suggestions about media, not about objects, because
I know the objects are bad, very bad.

There are other solutions than medias which are slow and uneasily tamed: a
big dozen of plane normal to camera axe with a leopard pattern,
a light DOF upon that

Doesn't look perfect, but I can't think of a way to improve it. Don't take
my word for it, though. I've never seen snow.

The snow looks very realistic, even asthough it's moving. Bet it wouldn't
animate very well theough.

Good point but as I always make still images, I never think things to be
animated

Me too. I'm waiting for faster CPU's so I can animate detailed models.
