Hi all!

So, it's me again, but now with a rather simple image. I've made use of
my Particle-System,
my vector-arithmetics-abilities as well as some smaller part of my
brain, and thought I'd
present what I have done. Though I consider it pretty much finished, I
out a "WIP?" in
the headline, because there'll probably be some suggestions that will
turn out to be
really useful.

Pretty cool :)

I like it. The "smoke" looks really good.

But I think you should put the pieces of the broken heart a little closer,
because like it is, its a bit hard to tell that it is a heart broken in 4.

Well, the broken heart is placed in that fashion to put an emphasize on the
sentence it does not cover up...

Wow, I was planning to render almost the same image, only it wouldn't
be a letter but a photo instead. If only I could get POV to render the
heart isosurfaces I found lying around... anyway, I won't make it in
time now.

I really like the image, though the guy's handwriting is way too neat.
After all, his hand should be trembling :)

I couldn't quite make out all of the two letters, but from what I saw
of the gal's, it's the usual "you're a really nice guy *but* blah blah
blah..." In this line of thought, how about "Just friends" as a title?
It's as good and as common an excuse as any other.

Second: "Just friends" is in my oppinion no excuse. Okay, sometimes you do

fall in love with someone whom you don't really know, and she knows you
even less, cause she's not interested (doh!) ;)

Though I haven't had that experience very often (since I don't fall in
love
very easily), I think that when you know her and she knows you better than

just "by look", she means what she says: just friends, since there's no
room
for more!

I don't know if girls/women would agree, but I suppose that the text I
chose
isn't too bad. I didn't want it to be read like "the man's view of the
typical female
excuse", so I put at least some more thought onto what words and phrases I
use
than on the actual loveletter.

Regarding the "neat handwriting": I guessed that most would put a lot of
effort
on a loveletter, at least I always did...

LOL, if she only knew my 'by look' she'd shun me like the plague :)
What I actually meant was the 'just friends' excuse for getting
dumped, which I've also had my fair share of.

I apologize if I misunderstood your intents, I guess I'm somewhat
biased atm.

I also always did and it has always looked as if I had a blind shot at
Chinese while intoxicated, and holding the brush with my left foot. I
ended up typing them and firing up whatever design skills I had.
(Didn't really work as expected as all I got back were letters just as
Lynn's. At least I learned a rare piece of lore - to appreciate girl
friends even more than girlfriends. Guess I'm odd.) Just as Nick did,
come to think of it :))

As a footnote, does anyone have *working* code for a cupid-type heart
isoosurface (the poly ain't good enough)? I might as well give my idea
a try.

"to appreciate girl friends even more than girlfriends"? Well, I'd rather say
"to appreciate girls the way they are supposed to be appreciated"... I'm the
odd one...
