It's been ages since I've used POV, though I have had a copy for years
(CompuServe days), and when i check the websie for the first time in
yonks, lo and behold there is a Shiny New Version(tm) to play with.
This was the result. I'm amazed at how photo realistic some of the
results are. Congrat's to the POV team, on a stunning new release.
Comments would be nice,
Ol

What?! Metals and glasses in POV 3.5 without photons?! :)
BTW, photons will make this beautiful pic look even better. Maybe that
saturated blue is a bit distracting though.

I really like this one. It has a sweet simplicity to it. I'd be curious to
see the code. If for no other reason than to see if some of my guesses on
how you did some things are correct. :{)

I have a set of cobalt blue glass objects that this would go nicely with, though
none quite this bright (which might have more to do with light attenuation) and
a set of mixing blue glass mixing bowls that I only wish looked this good. Nice
work.

I played with photons and the results weren't as I'd hoped. They were
probably more realistic, but I didnt like the pictures as much. I'll
resize a few and post then tonight. The blue is based on a piece of
glass I saw at work a couple of years ago that was coloured with copper
(rather than the usual cobalt), and it really was than shocking blue !

I'll tidy it us and post it. It was modelled in Moray (for easy of
getting things in the right places) and played with in POV's editor.
Everything in it is made of spheres, even the "plane" that it sits on.

Thanks ! I really should do some work, but it's going out of the window
at moment.
