Well that was a waste of 4 days...
POV 3.5 outputs alpha channels by default. Writes to BMP file.
BMP does not support alpha channels. Ok...
Attached is screen capture of what POV's output looks like.
At least "sorry, POV is running a render" is a good excuse
for keeping annoying friends who want to burn CDs off of
your computer ^_^

Underwater scientific research station borrowed from a TV show.
Replaced all of its materials with a media that I made, but it's
nowhere NEAR being finished. Not even done with one floor on
the top pod.

Attached is file 1 of 6 of the original from the TV show.
Play 'name that software' if you like.

File 2 of 6. Note the girders of the surface platform in the FG,
which is probably the last thing I'll add.

File 3 of 6. Seems to be a bit of an optical illusion going on here,
since the tube connecting to the pod at right is at a strange angle
compared to the other shots, and doesn't line up with the same
vertical position as its other end, or it might just be an odd
camera angle.

File 6 of 6. Good shot of the light groups used on original.
I also notice I didn't notice the airlocks on the undersides
of the pods in my initial duplication attempt (more clearly
visible in some of the other shots), will probably redesign
them on my version.

Any geek worth his salt should know the first thing to do with POV-Ray on
Windows is set the option to make PNG output the default. :-P
