Nice picture, but the tubes still need some help. I might rip this idea

Sure thing Darren.  It turned out very well material-wise.  It looks
like you didn't use the light source idea, though.  Did it not work well
with the media?  I think it might help simulate the glow of a neon light.

The neon lights don't show their glow enough IMHO. Maybe decrease the light 
from other sources?
