Could not get much further with a scene ...
so many details intended ... so few added

So i made an animation, still it took more than a week to render
on 3 core phenom.

Very impressive!  Looks almost real.

FWIW, there's one blank frame about 9 seconds in.

Good modelling work!

Has the janitor been made aware that the left downpipe has a gaping hole between
1st and 2nd floor?

Nice camera movement, it feels like something from a film. In fact the art 
style makes me think of Pixar's films.

Why did it take so long to render? There don't seem to be any complex 
effects in the scene, apart from the radiosity.

There are two area lights, one for sun, which I got from a post in p.b.i,
and another one closer and weaker  ...
They, I think, took most of the time.
