Looks best of all!

Very "flickery"!

No dithering? Are you sure?

Quite good!

Maybe a matter of personal taste...

So *this* is the non-dithered version!

I'm developing a command line-based image processor (yip - Yadgar's
Image Processor), with color reduction and Floyd-Steinberg dithering
already implemented. Do you want to try it? I could send you the source
code...

See you in Khyberspace!

Now playing: Skywalker (Robert Schröder)

You're right! I got those two mixed up.

To avoid further confusion, the one with 3,929,691 bytes is my favorite.
It was created using Jasc Animation Shop 3, which is something like 15
years old, and still great! I uninstalled the program it came with (PSP
9) but kept the GIF maker.

I forgot to post a link to the original 24 bit animation, so here it is:

https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1Sp1_LiI0y8yMquVCEqF1yVIkIpFkQy07

You may need Google Chrome to view it. I couldn't get it to load in
XnViewMP for instance.

I wouldn't know what to do with the source code sadly. But I would be
willing to test a Windows executable.

what other features does 'yip' offer? which libraries does it use (ie
dependencies)?

you could post a source archive here (or 'p.b.utilities'?).

regards, jr.

That's fine! I will install DEV-CPP on my Windows 7 and compile yip for
you! But be aware that its development is far from finished, and even
some of the already implemented features are not fully functional yet!

See you in Khyberspace!

Be aware though that Windows 7 is almost finished: January 2020. Is it
worth the while? Better to make the effort for Widows 10, I guess...

I hated 8 and 8.1. Not ever doing 10 if I can help it.
Really trying to transition over to Linux and open-source, non-proprietary
software.

Too much lying, spying, stealing, unwanted/unneeded auto-updates, data-mining,
etc.

Mike, have you tried IrfanView for conversion?
How about Paint.Net?

I don't have IrfanView installed, and Paint.net apparently requires a
plugin to do animations. (I tried without the plugin and it only
recognized the first frame.)
