when I use the following parameters for a render:
povray christmas2008.pov +W1280 +H1024 +AM2 +A0.25 +R4 +SC1 +EC16
+Ochristmas20080001 -D +WT4 +BS4

The text output contains the following:

Image Output Options
  Image resolution.....1280 by 1024 (rows 1 to 1024, columns 2 to 16).

the render itself appears to be correct.
