That is to be expected. Although the official binary will probably run
on an opteron it is surely better to compile from source (which will be
available soon).

That's somewhat unprecise, you mean '+GAfile' does not generate a file
with the whole text output?

Since beta phase has ended this is in fact the wrong group for such a
posting (povray.unix would be correct).

-GA should suppress almost all the output. It did. It doesn't.
