Typing "radiosity off" in the command line box doesn't turn radiosity
off. As far as I can see, the only way to turn radiosity off for a quick
test render is to change the source file.

"-QR" is working as (oddly) documented (5.2.6.2), it switches radiosity
on, but shouldn't "radiosity off" switch it off?

The activation of radiosity has changed with the release of beta.2. The
radiosity feature now works the same as does media, photons or any other
feature that is controled by the contents of the scene file itself. You
can not longer control it from the command line or by way of an .ini file.
This means that if you want to disable radiosity in your scene you either
need to activate it with a switch in your scene file or comment out the
radiosity code.

In that case the docs needs attention:-
        2.6.2
        4.1.1
        5.2.6.2
        6.11.11
all need to be changed.
