The Windows beta as of recent builds has a dump dialog activated when a fatal
error occurs. The text displayed is as follows:
Writing a dump file can assist the POV-Ray developers in preventing
this fault from occurring in a future version of POV-Ray. Since the
dump will contain portions of the memory being used by POV-Ray at the
time of the error, it is possible (though unlikely) that the dump
will contain private information. We will only make submitted dump
files available to the minimum number of developers required to find
and fix faults.
Note that saving a dump file does not submit it to us! That is a
separate step which you will need to perform once the file is saved.
See 'Error Reporting' in the help file
The 3.7 help file is of course yet to be written. The thing to do right now
is to ask here what we want done with them. Please do *not* send them to the
address posted elsewhere in this newsgroup without asking first; if we're not
expecting the dump it will probably be filtered to /dev/null.
Also, as hinted above, it's not a good idea to post dump files to any public
place because of the (tiny but possible) chance that they will contain
private information, so please never attempt to post them here.
