I don't remember if this was already reported, but there's a problem
with antialiasing method 1.
  To clearly see the problem, render scenes\advanced\blocks\stackertransp.pov
using "+a +am1".
  If you use "+a +am2" the problem disappears.

I think this is might be related to the issue I reported a couple of weeks ago
via Gilles - see thread "+AM1 artifact" on 18/04/2005:

  plane {y,-1 texture{pigment{checker color rgb 1 color rgb 0}}}
  camera {location <-0.5,1.5,-3> look_at <0,0,0>}
  light_source {<-5,5,-5> 2}
  fog {
          fog_type 2
          distance 3
          color rgb 1
          fog_offset 0.1
          fog_alt 0.2
          turbulence 0.8
  }

If you remove the fog the errors still appear, just not as often.
