PIII-1GHz, Linux2.4.??, POV3.5rc6

1) started rendering an animation: +fn +kfi0 +kff100 +odata
2) interrupted in between, say while frame 42 is rendering...
=> data000.png-data041.png are complete and consistent files,
data042.png is interrupted and only contains the upper half.
3) wanting to continue the animation: +fn +kfi0 +kff100 +odata +c
                                                               ^^
After the 3rd step POV should skip all the completed images and continue 42,
but while checking the frames before, it seems they get touched, and the files
get corrupt ...

at least the software I used, wasn't able to load the files.

only xv could load it. imagemagic was able to "identify" the files correct by
their headers, but could not "convert" them ....

can someone confirm ?
