It would be nice if POVRAY would release Beta versions to expire at least
one month after the release date. If you worry about people not coming back
for the latest update, you should not,
we all love the product and want to have the latest and greatest!

Did it occur to you that in the light of the current title being "Release
Candidate" there will not be time limited versions for another month? ;-)

Some of us just don't want to download a new Beta/RC every two weeks.
I'm still using RC1.
If there's a bug in it, I'd download the latest RC, to see if it's still
there.
I just change my computer's date to launch povray...

The solution then is simple, don't participate in the beta testing. Use
POV-Ray v3.1 until the final release of POV-Ray v3.5. It takes a long
term commitment to be a beta tester and it is not for everyone. Be
assured the POV-Team has their reasons for expiring the betas as
frequently as they do, and no insult intended, but your convenience
is of little concern to them at this point in time.
