Hi
Don't know if this is a known bug, but when moray starts pov, pov starts
minimised and it is imposable to pop up the editor, there is no context menu
when r.clicking the task bar item, only way to close povray is with task
manager

its caused by installing povray and the starting it for the first time from
moray, the popup licence dialogue is also minimised, is stealing focus from
the main povray, and cannot be clicked

latest beta, moray 3.3a, win2000

There have been so many special cases of this same bug being reported. Why
do modal dialog boxes prevent POV-Ray from being restored anyway? That
didn't happen when I made a simple application with a modal dialog box.

In fact, I just figured out what the problem is. If you go to Help > About,
and minimize POV-Ray in the time between when the splash screen is displayed
and the actual about box is displayed, the exact same thing happens; POV-Ray
cannot be restored, and clicking or right-clicking on the POV-Ray taskbar
button has no effect. I used Spy++ to find out that the about box is being
displayed in the rectangle (2786, 2772)-(3374, 3252), which is well off the
screen.

Could it have something to do with the fact that POV-Ray always centers the
about dialog in the main window, and IIRC, when the main window is
minimized, Windows always gives (3000, 3000) as the window position,
resulting in the dialog being off the screen?

So all you would need to do is not try to center the dialog boxes (any of
them) in the main window when the window is minimized.

better yet would be to make then center screen by default.

Thanks for spotting this - I've fixed it now (and also for the case where
the main window is trayed too).
