It's a doc error (I think) gray isn't a keyword grey is
try Shade.grey

Nope. The keyword is gray. It is in several example scenes.

I must have mistaken the two.
Do you use a custom color setting (especially for keywords)?
I cannot confirm as shown on a machine with:
Windows 98SE
POV-Ray v 3.5 beta.14
Pentium III 600mhz
128MB RAM

I am unsure what you are trying to confirm.
The original report was simply suggesting that the term "Shade.gray" should be placed
within <code> and </code> tags as is done
for "Shade.green" etc.
In the POV-Ray editor, the keyword "gray" is shown in the same color as other reserved
keywords. The word "grey" is not.
