I have down loaded it 4 time now, it looks 7.5Mb long (not the 7.9Mb it said
on the web site)
and it will not install.

Are you using a download agent or just IE. I refuse to rely in the built in downloader
in IE, since it can consistantly screw up (such as always failing at 7.5M of a 7.9M
file).
Apparently MS doesn't consider this important enough to fix. :p

7.53 megabytes downloaded (with IE). Installed just fine. Works just fine.
Win NTv4SP5 PII(400MHz)

It's 7,899,734 bytes, or 7.53 MB. (Yeah, yeah, I know about the recent
"standard" defining 1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes ... what do they know?)
If you know how to compute MD5 sums:

I would want to give you an advice to download it via ftp. But somehow it's

Roger, I can try to e-mail it to you if your ISP can accept an attachment
of this size. Keep trying to figure out what is going wrong at your end,
though, because the binary at povray.org is good (that's where I got it
from).
