Gee, I'm glad I left a copy of POV open! :-)
But really, shouldn't it expire when it says it expires? It's not even
January 15 yet, much less after January 15. Yeah, I know this has been
discussed before. Anyway, at least, can you have a new beta ready when the
old one expires?

It expires when it says it expires. It just doesn't say which timezone is
used to determine when the drop dead date has been reached. IIRC, it drops
dead according to the time somewhere down in Australia rather than the
local time.

No matter what timezone you pick, it's still not "after January 15" as
stated on the download page. It also says:
"By this time there will either be a new beta version available here or the
final version of POV-Ray 3.5 will be available."

from your headers, date of posting:

which translated to GMT is 15 Jan 2002 01:01:21, could that be why?
I'm in GMT land, and mine's just expired with no replacement. Looks like
I'll have to go to bed.
