WinNT, 3.5 beta 7
It seems that some memory is not properly released between frames when a
jpeg file is used. Render the line below with a test.jpg file.
sphere{0,1 texture{pigment{image_map{jpeg "test"}}}}
The reported peak memory increases in a linear way after each frame.
Other file formats don't have this problem. It doesn't happen between
subsequent renders of the same file.
I came upon this bug when my system started to whine after a few frames :
the memory reported was 900 Mb, having started at 150 Mb (using 4 very large
jpegs). Each frame added 100 Mb or so...

I can confirm this. POV-Ray v3.5 beta7 intel, Win98, athlon 950, 256 ram.
