Povray crashes when I render with radiosity and then stop
it during the pretrace.

POV-Win beta 4

Happens o me too. It also says it generates a log, but I couldn't find it.
Does anybody know where is it being stored?

BTW, I'm running 3.5b4 on a PIII 1GHz, 256MB RAM, Windows Me.

Same here, but renders without radiosity also crash in the same way if I
stop them soon enough. If I stop any render while it's rendering line 2
or less, then it crashes. Once the render gets to line 3, stopping it
doesn't cause a crash.

POV 3.5b4, W98se, AMD K6-2 500, 128Mb

I wonder if this is related to the crash that happens if you cause a divide
by zero. Are y'all rendering to PNG, perchance?
