The descriptions for these functions (for the most part) simply restate the
obvious. A small description of the curve and its typical application would
be a nice addition, as would a small graph showing the shape of the
function. I'm familiar with Normal and Gaussian distributions and
understand the Spline distribution, but I've really just heard of most of
the others.

I can't say this enough: Great job guys! I was *very* impressed when I
looked through the .inc files. All the nifty macros that have been floating
around are now in the official distribution!

In the directory scenes/incdemo there is a file rand_distribution.pov
to visualise this. It is not very usefull for discrete distributions
though.

Thanks. In my rendering of all the sample files (not done yet... but got
incdemo) that one must have slipped through the cracks. Something like that
included in the documentation would still be nice, but I was thinking more
along the lines of a line drawing, with parameters marked. It could still
be created with POV-Ray, though :-)

I'll see what I can do, but promise nothing.

Here are some links on the subject:

I found a very good resource last night. If you'd like, I can work up a
rough draft and send it to you.

Actually, the Compendium is the resource I found. Very helpful. I'll be
writing a POV scene to plot the PDFs of all the functions in rand.inc.

Thanks for listening...
