I think that what he mean is that cliche.pov wants the two bitmaps in
png format while WinPov renders them to bmp by default, and this causes
a confusion.
Of course reading the comments at the beginning of the povray files
would help...
By the way, are people aware of what fancy happens when the right mouse
button is clicked over a comment line which contains command line parameters?

No, I wasn't. But now I am. This should definitely go to the first
page of the documentation ;-)
You can imagine how some of my scene-files start?
