This is no doubt in relation to the following:

Highlight bug (job000137)
(highlights are sometimes visible where they should be in shadow)
http://news.povray.org/3bb4cf08@news.povray.org

where the normals can leak textures through to the opposite side of a
surface. I just wanted to show what I encountered due to it. Well, I'm not
100% certain it is the exact same reason but it is similar enough. It
reminds me of the old reflection inverted normals thing from early 3.1
versions except in this case there shouldn't be any color getting out from
behind a blocking sphere.

To describe the attached renders a little, when the plane or isosurface is
present the interior of the model shows up outside as red speckles on the
small scale normals present in the metal texture. Presumably caused by
reflection. The only openings to the inside are windows hidden beneath
textured disc sections and the hatches on top and bottom. The inside red
sphere is separate from a outer sphere of another color.

The jpeg messes with it somewhat but you can still see the "leaking" color
on the metal beam near the ground plane of grass, and moreso for the one of
the isosurface. When the ground is removed no red shows up.

Again, I'm just posting this as example about the problem, if it is indeed
one.
