Hi all, I'm embarking on a V8 engine animation and have become stuck on how
do render the timing belt, does anyone have any clues on how to do this?

Nice. It appears that the engine you're modelling is a flat-plane V8,
right? Typical V8 engines are cross-plane, I've only heard of flat-plane
in indy cars and exotic sports cars (ferarri, I believe).

I think I have your question solved, but I would like to actually see where
the movie is.... or the model or whatever. I have most of the math you need,
but I would like to know where your belt tensioner is. I'm not sure what v8
you are using, or if you are even using a v8 that is in production... and
you might want to tell me if there is(are) an(y) accessory belt(s) in your
model... take that 8th grade english teacher.
