Im trying to make an animation in which the camera does a flyby through
a 3D environment and I want it to go straight dive down, fly up, and
turn around in a circle ect... does anyone know a good tutorial on
multistaging beside split infinity.

In addition to Ken's link you might consider Chris Colefax's
Spline Generator. I've never tried it myself but I believe
(if memory serves)you can animate the camera along a spline.

  That is covered in Steve's tutorial I listed as well but it is worth
mentioning none the less.
