I am trying to create animation sin Linux, only one problem, I can't find
a program that will create avi, mpg, or mpeg format animations from
stills. Does anyone know of one, and where I can get it from?

Thanks,
David

Is mpeg_encode installed in your system?
It's a bit difficult to use (well, it's param_file is quite difficult
to write since the manual page is a bit hard to understand) but it's
very fast.

No I do not have it installed. I have heard a lot of bad things about
mpeg_encode, that it's hard to compile and use. I will use it as a last
resort, but i would prefer not to!

I tried to get mpeg_encode running, but I keep getting errors when I try
to compile. Are there any other programs that will do this?
