What's the best way to impress a "frame number" or "clock value" in a corner
of each frame generated in an animation?

A convenient way is to use the screen.inc include file (see the
incdemo/screen.pov sample scene for how to do this).

Alternatively you could insert the number using post processing, for
example using the Imagemagick tools (http://www.imagemagick.org/).

BTW please don't multi-post the same question to several groups
