Having calculated the coordinates for each individual sweep point in excel I
am wanting to import these into my moray animation(i assume frame by frame)
without having to go into edit mode and mannualy change the x and y
positions for each?

Can it be done?

Indirectly...use the Includes tab in Scene:Settings to import an
external .inc file that reads the data from a .csv generated by Excel
and generates the sweep. I've done that before for a stained-glass window.

Using this method can the annimation still be visible and controlled in
Moray?

Not of the spline you're defining in the external file...I actually
haven't done anything with animation outside of Moray itself, you need
to set up the clock variable and stuff.
