Thomas,
Thanks my friend.

Now ... to the enhancements ...

What do you mean by "an export selection checkbox"? Can you give me some
more details on what this means? If you could be as detailed as possible
that would be great. I'm afraid I simply can't imagine what that would be.

With the latest release (1.1.2) we can now include POVInclude in CSGs ...
I'll be honest, I haven't tested it as much as I would like yet ... but it
*should* now work.

Steve,
I'm on it. Let me investigate Reference Objects and put it in my to do
list.

See picture in moray.binaries

This was from a box object, the insertcode plugin also has this as a
separate checkbox.

Stephen,
I looked at the Moray docs and they said:

"This checkbox specifies whether this object will be exported."

What does checking or not checking the box "actually" do?

What happens in code I have no idea.

The result is:
checked, scene renders with the object
unchecked, Moray does not include any information from your plugin in the
resulting (.pov) file. All information is still saved with the (.mdl) file.

Currently using your plugin, if I want to 'not' see the include as part of
the rendered image: I need to delete the plugin, or leave the filename
blank.

When I work on a scene, it is common for me to turn off/on (export/not
export) different objects to see what effect they have on the rendered
picture. Some objects increase the render time many times, so unless I'm
specifically working on that part of the scene, I will turn them off (not
export).

I do not want to recreate the plugin or look for the include filename very
time I test parts of the scene.

Hopes this helps.

Stephen

Me too, I lived in Orkney Street for years. My wife, unfortunately, is
from Partic :-)

Anything to do with the oil industries? I've been in London for about
twenty years.

Hmm...got and installed it, but don't really see much advantage over
Moray's internal Scene:Settings>Includes setting...an 'edit file' button
would be handy, to save some time fumbling around opening the include to
work on it if it's not already open...

Tim,
The primary benefit of POVInclude is the ability to visually see the
bounding box of the included object. If Moray can do this then I missed the
boat entirely.

I would love to add an edit file button but don't want to open in a "simple
editor". I will look into how I can open in POVRay itself. If I can do
that and have POVRay editor edit the file, that will be perfect.
