Congratulations to all the entrants who made so many wonderful images!
One of the most valuable aspects of the IRTC (not just for the entrants) is
feedback. I'm not sure how many of the participants hang out here, but I
thought maybe we could have some discussion on each image. So much work
went into them, I'd certainly enjoy hearing other's thoughts, including the
artists.
I thought we could work our way down the results list, starting a new topic
every day or two. Of course, anyone can start one up at any time (from
anywhere on the list) if they're interested in talking about a particular
image, and starting a new thread doesn't mean we can't keep the older
discussions running.

Mark,
Yes, I too would like to see more irtc related discussion. What do people think
about coupling the irtc-l mailing list with the irtc groups here? With the two
linked, perhaps we would reach an ongoing, healthy level of participation and
discussion related to the irtc artwork?

This is a good idea. One new thread per day is a good pace, I think we
should aim to get through the top 20 before the next round's deadline.

Sounds do-able. I've taken the liberty to email the top 20 to alert them to
the discussions. Lots of nationalities represented; nice.
Bill, can you alert the IRTC mailing list members?
Anyone interested can, of course, post first on any image. I like the "Old
Technology...imagename" format for each discussion, but it's a free forum
:-)

hello everyone!
this is very interesting and i'm looking forward to discussing these images.
As a sort of introduction, I read these newsgroups a lot, but haven't posted
much (other than in the international group), i'll try to change that now.
And my image is one of the many watermills :-)
