hi,
entries for the new round are out and can be seen on the usual place.
Congratulations to Chris Hormann, who made the entry with the longest render
time of all IRTC rounds so far.

I'm confused. I went to the irtc.org site, and it still shows the
"Loneliness" round as being the most recent one. And yes, I did click
"reload" several times to make sure.

Same thing here. New topic hasn't been posted either.
However, it's possible to figure out (from looking at past competitions)
that the viewing page is http://www.irtc.org/stills/2002-10-31/view.html .

The text files, thumbs and images are in the ftp site
ftp.irtc.org
I use to download the winvote zip files:
ftp.irtc.org/pub/stills/2002-10-31/winvote

New topic is "frozen moment", you can see it when you
connect to the ftp Irtc site, in the log window (I'm using
WS_FTP95 LE)
Hope this helps.

:-)
When i saw i would outstrip H.E.Day's record this time i saw it 'with one
laughing and one weeping eye'. Of course it's an honor to hold this
record but on the other hand it would be very nice if such scenes would
simply render faster...

but, amazingly, almost on topic (at least, the one I noticed from a quick skim
through the entries).

Maybe the most on topic.<g> Many stated that they interpreted the
description of this topic to mean a genuine, real-life landscape. If you
read the text file sent with that image, you will see that his image is a
depiction of his wife's body. Every other entry in the round is make
believe.
It looks to me like most of the entrants chose to interpret the topic
themselves and to ignore the topic description, perhaps none moreso than I.
I guess we will see which is most important to the judges (topic name or
topic description) in a few weeks.

Yeah, I have seen a few other real landscapes since I started voting and
reading the descriptions more closely. Nice image, btw.
