A couple others I thought stood out:
Codicil - Kzerphii Toomk
The deep colors and crackly textures lend an emotional quality; part
anguish, part horror, that I usually expect to see in a painting, not in a
ray traced image. Excellent.
Haunted - Hildur Kolbrun Andresdottir
Incredible amount of detail, carefully arranged, with wonderful texturing &
lighting. A bit dark, but the dark fits the scene. Great work!

Yeah, I just wasn't sure how I felt about this one. I have always
admired the Georges de la Tour that is being referenced but I didn't
quite see the relation to the topic and its relation to the raytracing
didn't totally convince me either. Yet it is a nicely detailed scene
on its own and has the ability to effect frisson directly in the viewer.

Yes the choice of subject is interesting and the execution of the image
very thoroughly completed.
