There are, if I count right, four images in the "worship" round that
represents toilets... I guess this is no coincidence, so could
someone explain me the relation with the topic ?

Fabien.

I think I might not need explanation. Imagine what would a world without
toilet's. And is know that things you use or need frequently becomes objects
of worship.

The toilet (could be also computers) is the only thing we are sure must use
everyday, so them are worshipped by everyone of us.

Personally, I don't "buy" the connection. There might be something
connecting the socialogical phenomena of using chairs to signify status,
emperors thus ascending to a "throne", and the psychology of toilet
training. But merely showing plumbing to insinuate the universality of
biological function, or to equate kneeling ( to vomit ) with an act of
supplication seems impoverished to me.

I believe the connection has to do with the common (in parts of the US,
anyway) euphemism for vomiting, "worshiping the porcelain god(dess)."

Basically, if you've had too much beer to drink at a party, you
get on your knees in front of the toilet and vomit. This is
called "praying to the porcelain god". But I guess this isn't such a
universal expression. I thought that reference might confuse
some folks.

Well, OK, thanks everyone ! I guessed that it was some "cultural"
reference that escaped me. That's something one must be careful
about in an international competition : not using too specific
cultural item or idea ! I had to eliminate some very good ideas
of mine because of that.

Fabien.

My grandparents used to do it in the backyard ! Living without toilet
isn't SO terrible, just a little uncomfortable...

I worship the toilet. Nothing to do with excessive alchohol intake. That
moment everyday when I shut the door, drop my trousers, light my ciggy, sup
my coffee and open the newspaper is one of pure spiritual bliss.

There is an American English expression "Worshiping the Porcelain God" which
refers to vomiting (usually repeatedly and usually after drinking too much).
The "Porcelain God" being a toilet. Hope that helps ^_^
