Now that i dont agree with, art is ment to inspire contraversy and debate,
83years, however offensive people may find it, is still art (however poor,
and obviously created just to get the last word in) is still art

and as were voting for each picure on its merits, not on the rants included
in the text file. - you would think we all know better than to take
seriously anything mr giwer writes!

and before anyone assumes anything, i do not agree with any of mr giwers
views, do not know him personally, and if this image had been submitted by
anyone else, then removed, i would have the same position.

I agree with you - however, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. Matt
has been determined to make a martyr of himself - he's probably quite happy
now.

In the end, this newsgroup and the irtc are not appropriate places for the
kind of debate (?) that Matt wished to provoke. Matt should have moderated
himself.

tollerance where he is concerned.

I don't believe there is a right or wrong here ... because I don't believe art
inherits any kind of moral mandate ... it is simply phenonmena you cannot
censor art anymore than you can prevent it or guarantee it
it simply adds interest ... sometimes it flourishes from the need too
provocate sometimes it struggles to develop original ideas against a
prevailing comfort level with those ideas
