When the topic of the latest IRTC stills contest was announced, it was
predicted that there would be dozen "damn pyramids" images entered in the
contest. The actual number of pyramids/ziggurats entered was in fact only
half that. Other common topics included lighthouses (15 images), four
Tranquility Base/Sea of Tranquility images, four pictures of the Statue of
Liberty (all of them inspired by "Planet of the Apes"!), two of the Leaning
Tower of Pisa, and (gasp!) *two* blue fireplugs!

This is the usual number of pyramids for every round !

I also noticed 2 Moais (easter island), 2 Firth of Forth (and other
bridges),
2 white cliffs of Dover,... but no Stonehenge !

About the statue of liberty, I think that the availability of a free
mesh is
an important factor !

Fabien.

Probably my fault for having it identified in my links collection.
I'm getting over a hundred hits a day to that page now so someone is
looking at the material there.

Oh Dear! I thought I had a clear run on my own home territory, but Christian Radek
from
Dortmund hit on the same location. Never mind, the Forth Bridge is a very worthy
subject.
Christian's image is good. He obviously spent more time on the environment of the
bridge
than I did. It's interesting that he chose almost the same viewpoint as me.
