On Friday, I started to vote for the Test Round but a server crash (?)
stopped me from completing. Today I logged in again to complete my vote
and was surprised to see a comment entered for the first image displayed
that was not the comment that I had entered previously. The following
images did not display that glitch.
Was it a product of the server crash or is it a more general bug visible
to others?

I've looked into this issue. It turns out there's a race condition that
occurs in the voting when many people start voting at once. This caused
a corruption in the data that prevented it from being saved properly and
likely led to the crash the other day.
I've fixed the corruption. I'm working at fixing the race condition
itself. It will take a few hours and I'll have to bring the site down
to install the fix.
I apologize for the problems. This is the kind of problem that can only
be detected when many people are working on the system at the same time
and, as such, didn't get caught during testing.

Just out of curiousity, when voting, when does the update to the
datatbase happen? Is it for each entry on the 'next' or 'previous'
click? On any other events? Close? Also it seems order of events can
matter. If I add a comment, then readjust my scoring, I get a new page
with the new scoring, but the comments are lost. Or is that on my side?
A browser setting or something?

Also, I am not sure if my score for the first entry is being saved, but
it is never displayed no matter how many times I add it, when I leave
then reenter the app.
Also I am finding the logon timeout a bit restrictive when I am adding
comments. Sometimes I have to think a bit when I am writing them. I
have learned to copy to clipboard as I go but still...

than half of my votes got viped out, but for some reason not all.
Anyway, I have voted for all now, but the first one gets viped out every time if
I leave the server. But only the stars go, if I tick in one of the three boxes
it stays.
Hope this helps,
Hildur
