Dave,
I think I uploaded an image but didn't receive any conformation nor did it show
up on the IRTC web page. Should I just be patient or did something not work ?

BTW - Great job on the new IRTC site !

I don't see any submissions and there are no files in the download
directory so something didn't work. To submit an image, you need a
title, an image and a thumbnail that's 75 pixels high. Did you provide
all three of these things? If not, an error message should appear at
the top of the screen. Maybe the message isn't obvious enough.
Try again and let me know what you find.

Thanks for your help testing it out.

Dave,
Same problem as before. I added a Title, uploaded a brief text file for the
scene submission, a 244 kb jpeg for the main image and a 75 pixel tall by 100
pixel wide jpeg for the thumbnail image. No error messages, just a reset back
to the submission page. The reset kept my text but blanked out the image
fields.
Aren't undocumented features wonderful :)

Maximum resolution? Maximum file size? Possible file formats?
Or is this essential information as top secret as it appears to be? :P

It looks great!
Just a little thing: could be interesting achieve (where available) the
zipfiles with the sources directly from the ViewSubmission page.

Hi. Are there any benefits of reviving an old account from the old days versus
starting up a new one? I probably used an email address that I'd eventually
like to phase out.

No benefits that aren't easy to address. The new web site keeps track
of all submissions made by a user. If you click on the user's name, it
displays all submissions for all contests for that user. If you create
a new account, then those submissions wouldn't appear for you. If this
happens, you can just drop us an e-mail at irt### [at] irtcorg and we'll
reassign the old submissions to the new account. It's not a big
problem. We have an administrator function that can do this easily for us.
If you do revive an old account, so long as you can still receive
e-mails to that account you can revive it and change the e-mail address
afterward or email us at the above address to change the e-mail address.

Now that I've gotten over my euphoria:
I note that the last round (the unjudged Jan 2007 round, for animations)
does not appear on the site anywhere. You can click "Next Year" on the
page for the 2006 round, and go to year 2007, but the one round for that
year is not displayed. (In fact, you can click "Next Year" repeatedly,
and get pages for 2008, 2009, 2010, and so on.)
Also, the "Description" link for each entry appears to link to the
entry, instead of the TXT file that is submitted. I was expecting the
latter when I clicked one.
Regards,
John
