Uh... it took me a while to remember what you are referring to. A more
precise description, or naming the newsgroup and date or subject of
relevant postings, would have simplified that.

No, the blob thresholds have not been changed.
I wouldn't have recommended rolling your own version of POV-Ray if
changing the values in the official version had been anywhere on my
short-term agenda.
