Rendering of fish and pipe flange parts. I'll post the scene file once I'm done
tweaking this.

Fascinating ! With every new revision it's become better and better ...
I see that we are closing to my old dream - "Tales from Topographic
Oceans" very fast :)

I am in general like 'posterizing' and 'cartooning', because
photorealistic rendering, IMHO, is not so impressive, while we have
photography already.

Looking forward to exploring this scene, especially materials.

I love the look of posterized. I ran the last image though a few filters. I do
the breakdown of light and shadow.

agree, love "posterised", and it works well for this scene.

of my old projects - FilterForge filter:

This is great (obviously not so much for the poor fish).

Seems your fish model has evolved nicely over the years.

...but then the fish should be a Schindleria Praematurus, which it isn't!

See you in Khyberspace!

Yes! FilterForge - I love the illustration look.
We'd sometimes use the Piranesi Plugin for edge/and color effects on
architectural renderings. It stored edge and face information during rendering
that could be used in post.

Oil spill ? That's no oil, oil floats on the water. What is that stuff
on the bottom ?

That said, great image.
